Poster design for the movie La La Land. I combined imagery from outer space with purple hues to reflect the dream-like state that is present throughout the film.
My design process involved scanning old images of the moon, galaxies, stars, and more and playing with overlapping layers and textures in Photoshop. I utilized scale to convey movement throughout the typography, reflecting the prominent role of dance in the film. I was also inspired by the Hollywood sign while choosing a typeface for the poster.
